Beth Sholom Congregation was founded in 1918 in the Logan section of Philadelphia. In 1953 the then Rabbi, Mortimor J. Cohen, persuaded Frank Lloyd Wright to build a grand synagogue in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. It took years to build and was finally dedicated in September of 1959.
The Beth Sholom Gift Shop is located within the administrative building of the synagogue. Just a short walk down the hallway, is a newly renovated shop for all your gift giving needs. While about half of our merchandise is Judaica (kippot, tallitot, mezzuzot, Kiddush cups, tzedakah boxes etc.) the other half of the shop has everything from housewares, to baby gifts, to wedding gifts, to new home gifts, accessories and so much more. The net proceeds of your purchases from the Beth Sholom Gift Shop benefit Beth Sholom Congregation.
The gift shop is a wonderful place to create a gift registry for young people preparing to become a Bar or Bat Mitvah or slightly more mature people preparing to be married. Our staff would be happy to help you register for the upcoming gifts to celebrate your milestones.
We accept all major credit cards and gift certificates are available upon request. Our staff is happy to wrap and ship your gift to anywhere or you are welcome to order online and pick up your purchase in person. When you visit our store in Elkins Park, you will find a much more complete selection of Judaica and gift items than that found online.
